WAVE DISSIPATION BLOCK BODY AND WAVE DISSIPATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave dissipation block body and a wave dissipation method capable of displaying a water dissipating action within a wide range of a wave periodic strip from a long periodic wave to a short periodic wave in a slit caisson for the wave dissipation method in harbors. SOLUTION: In a retarding chamber as a space section inside of the slit caisson 2 for wave dissipation, the wave dissipation method is so constituted that a void is made between the bottom surface of the retarding chamber and the lower end section between a slit wall 2a and the rear wall 2b of a caisson and that a hanging down plate 3 having at least the length of a draft for the upper end section to get to the surface of the sea is isolated and is provided to widen a periodic strip aiming at the wave dissipation.
