PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinion gear of a motor grader, which makes sediment hardly sandwiched between the pinion gear and a circle. SOLUTION: This pinion gear of the motor grader, which meshes with circle teeth so as to rotate the circle, is equipped with an upside flange part, a downside flange part which faces the upside flange part and whose top surface has such an inclination as to be lowered toward an outer peripheral part, and a plurality of pinion teeth for connecting the upside and downside flange parts together. The pinion gear of the motor grader is characterized in that a distance from an undersurface of the circle teeth to a boundary between an outermost peripheral part of the pinion teeth and the downside flange part becomes longer than an interval between the pinion teeth.
