PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing roof of a container or the like structured so that a sheet to be stretched in the width direction of the container or the like is set over the over-part opening of the container or a truck rear body and the left and right edges of the sheet are engaged with a hook on the side face of the container or the truck rear body using fastening ropes fitted at the tip with a fastening tool such as a rubber cord, capable of preventing the sheet from being turned up by winds or the like even in case the fastening tool is removed from the hook in order to fold up the sheet. SOLUTION: The opening/closing roof of the container or the like is structured so that waterproof sheet 2 to be stretched in the width direction of the container or the like is set over the over-part opening of the container or the truck rear body and the left and right edges 2a of the waterproof sheet 2 are engaged with the hook 20 on the side face of the container 1 or the like using the fastening ropes 18 fitted at the tip with the fastening tool 19, wherein the ropes 18 are arranged in line at an appropriate spacing in the length direction of the sheet 2, and its part on the way is engaged slidably with a cable 22 stretched over the side face of the container 1 or the like.
