PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of transmitting vital data without changing the model of a measuring terminal even if the model of a portable terminal is changed to another model. SOLUTION: A first server 50, a second server 60 and the portable terminal 10 are connected to one another via a communication line 40. The method is for transmitting vital data measured by the measuring terminal 20 with an input part 21 to the first server 50 by the portable terminal 10. The vital data measured by the measuring terminal 20 are stored. Control software stored in the second server 60 is downloaded in the portable terminal 10, and the downloaded control software is stored in the measuring terminal 20. When prescribed input operation is received in the input part 21 of the measuring terminal 20, a communication path is established between the portable terminal 10 and the first server 50 by the process executed by the control software, so that the vital data stored in the measuring terminal 20 are transmitted to the first server 50.
