PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove free grain over rack, which is stuck to threshed waste straws. SOLUTION: The recovery apparatus of free grain over rack for a thresher has constitution that a chamber 7 for dropping free grain over rack, which removes free grain over rack, stuck to grain straws to be threshed by a threshing cylinder 6a arranged on the threshing cylinder shaft 6b of a threshing chamber 6 of grain straws is installed at the rear side of the transport end part of the threshing chamber 6. A waste straw ear tip transport apparatus 20 for transporting ear tip sides and plant foot sides of threshed waste straws to the outside of the machine and a waste straw root transport apparatus 21 are rotated and driven by a transmission shaft 22b being the same shaft as the transmission mechanism 22a of a transmission case 22 arranged at a space part (A) behind the chamber 7 for dropping free grain over rack. The total width (L) of the threshing chamber 6 and the chamber 7 for dropping free grain over rack is constituted larger than the external diameter (D) of the threshing cylinder 6a.
