The balance (1) has a small space requirement and contains only the weighing unit and the evaluation unit (2) is arranged externally. The weighing unit transfers the weighing data by connecting cable to the evaluation unit in order to use the power supply of the evaluation unit or transfers the data wirelessly (3) to the evaluation unit. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method of transferring weighing data to the evaluation unit (B) and an evaluation unit.
