<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball-point pen capable of permanently writing in a good hand not only on a paper surface or a fabric but also on various writing surfaces such as a surface of an impermeable material such as glass or plastics. <P>SOLUTION: A ball-point pen is constituted by connecting a ball point pen tip with a ball rotatably held in a tip end to a barrel or a refill directly or via a connecting member, and is directly filled with oil-based ink containing at least a coloring agent, an organic solvent with a vapor pressure of 5.0-50 mmHg (20°C) as a main solvent and a thickener.
