<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient automatic guide system capable of setting a setting for automatic parking at a place other than a parking lot independently from the environment of the parking lot and setting an automatic parking mode at the point of time when a vehicle gets close to the parking lot. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of radio markers 2 are set in and around a parking space, and each of the markers has position information. A detector 1 comprises a present position acquisition part 17 radio communicable with the radio markers 2 and acquiring a present position; a setting storage part 16 for storing the dimension of a parking space or arrangement information showing the arrangement positions of the plurality of radio markers 2; and a position detection part 18 for detecting the distance to the radio markers on the basis of the signal levels of signals received by receiving antennas 13a, 13b and 13c to acquire the position of the radio markers, and specifying a positional relation between the present position and the arrangement of the plurality of radio markers 2 in reference to the arrangement information by acquiring the positions of the plurality of radio markers 2.
