PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for performing radio transmission/reception in ultra widebands by constituting UWB pulse signals in a simple circuit.

SOLUTION: Transmitting data are converted to a transmission baseband by a signal processing unit 100 and supplied to a Manchester code converting circuit 110. The Manchester code converting circuit 110 prepares a Manchester code shifted from L level to H level or from H level to L level from bit data "1", "0" of the transmitting data and a mono-pulse generating circuit 130 is driven by the output pulse. The mono-pulse generating circuit 130 includes a serial resonance circuit 131 (134) and generates a mono-pulse signal of transient responsiveness shifting from positive to negative or from negative to positive in response to an edge of the pulse. A mono-pulse signal to be transmitted is selected by an enable control circuit 150 and a mono-pulse signal modulated based on the bit data "1", "0" is transmitted from an antenna A or the like as a UWB transmitting signal.
