PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence element such that a light emission area in a unit pixel area increases, and provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A data line or a data line and a power supply line in a unit pixel area of the organic electroluminescence element are formed in a trench formed by etching an insulating film, and a 1st electrode as a pixel electrode is formed so as to overlap the data line or the upper part of the data line and power line without causing a defect such as cross/talking.
