PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable loading of a film cartridge to be carried out, even in a state with a camera being fixed on a tripod, and with the back lid completely open at loading. SOLUTION: The photographic camera 10 is composed of a camera body 11, a body cover 12 that covers the front part of the camera body 11, and a back lid 13 that covers the back of the camera body 11. A film cassette loading part 39 for loading a film cassette 27 and a tripod-attaching member (not shown) for attaching a tripod 54 are formed on the back lid 13. A film cassette loading chamber 40 and an opening 40a for loading a film cassette that continues into the loading chamber are formed in the film cassette loading part 39. Since the back lid 13 is attached to the camera body 11 via a hinge part 44, having a rotational axis parallel to the photography optical axis, loading of the film cassette can be performed without problems, even if the camera is fixed on the tripod 54; and the back lid 13 can be opened completely at loading.
