PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesostructured silica material having sufficient flexibility in spite of a mesostructured silica having an organic-inorganic hybrid structure composed of a silicon oxide skeleton containing an organic group, capable of forming a self-standing membrane having high flexibility and excellent strength and enabling the introduction of various organic groups having high functionality into the skeleton. SOLUTION: The mesostructured silica material is composed of a silicon oxide skeleton containing an organic group, exhibits an X-ray diffraction pattern having one or more peaks at a diffraction angle range corresponding to the d value of≥1 nm and satisfies the formula F1: ä(D+S)/(T+D+S)}≥0.1 (T≠0) or formula F2: äS/(D+S)}≤0.9 (T=0) wherein T (mol%) is the ratio of T-site skeleton component, D (mol%) is the ratio of D-site skeleton component and S (mol%) is the ratio of S-site skeleton component.
