PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for activating Rho and contracting dendrons at a same level for intending to screen a Rho activation inhibitory agent useful for the regeneration of nerve cells. SOLUTION: This Rho (a small protein classified into GTPase) activity inhibitory factor consisting of a compound expressed by formula (1) [wherein, R1 to R4 are each independently H, hydroxy, a 1-4C alkyl or a 1-4C alkyloxy, and at least one of the R1 to R4 is hydroxy or an alkyloxy; and any of A, B is a group expressed by formula (2) and another one is H, and a bond expressed by a broken line may or may not exist] and/or its salt is provided.
