The shopping trolley has an anti-theft lock activatable by a relative movement created between the steering axis of the wheel (1) and an element (3) which is mounted movably in relation to the steering axis, whereby magnetically induced forces (F) and/or a gravity-dependent moment (P) act upon the movably mounted element. The magnetically induced forces arise through repelling magnets (4,5). The gravity-dependent moment arises during the tipping of the shopping trolley.
