<p>The invention relates to a method for generating music in a data processing means (1) having limited storage capacity (4), comprising additionally at least control means (5) for data input to the data processing means and for data output from the data processing means, a processor (3), means for polyphonic playing (6) of a piece of music, and a music generating means (2) having music generating software. The music generating software is adapted to generate in the data processing means (1) a music flow/files during the execution of said music generating software. The music flow/file is audible as a piece of music over the playing means (6). The music generating means (2) of the invention generates a music flow/file (90) having varied sound and a duration that is unlimited in advance by means of a genetic algorithm, with a view to saving storage capacity (4), using a given number of melody line chromosomes generated by the music generating means as initial data.</p> |
