<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated recording material which can be printed and plotted in high contrast by heating and is excellent in resistance such as water resistance, oil resistance and wear resistance, and a recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The laminated recording material has a thermal color developing layer and a surface protective layer. The laminated recording material having the thermal color developing layer including copper phosphonate having an aromatic ring and a carrier is also disclosed.
