<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable at least a printer, whose density compensation processing is in an effective state, to always exist on a network, to which a plurality of printers are connected. <P>SOLUTION: After completing compensation processing of color printers 102 and 103 by a density compensation processing scheduling part 113, A calibration server 104 on a network 100 sets a scheduled time of compensation when the next compensation processing is performed after the compensation is completed from a compensation effective time when density characteristics of a color output image is maintained to a desired characteristic. Moreover, a compensation processing time needed for performing the compensation processing is compared with the compensation effective time at a temporal axis to change the setting of the compensation scheduled time and adjustment is made so that desired density characteristics of at least one of the printers 102 or 103 is always maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
