METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FUNCTIONAL FILM, COATING LIQUID FOR FORMATION OF FUNCTIONAL FILM, FUNCTIONAL ELEMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a functional film for e.g. the luminescent layer of organic electroluminescence elements, the color filter layer of liquid-crystal display elements and the wiring film of wiring boards which permits convenient manufacture of a functional film having excellent uniformity of the quality, geometry and thickness of film throughout the surface of the board and especially ensuring uniformity of the boundary areas of coating by preventing uneven drying in the coating direction.

SOLUTION: The method is for manufacturing a functional film formed on a board as a pattern by a wet method, e.g. ink jet printing, and has a first process of coating a solution consisting of a functional material dissolved or dispersed in a solvent of a vapor pressure at 25°C of 0.133-133 Pa and/or a boiling point under atmospheric pressure of 200-300°C to a substrate under atmospheric pressure, a second process of removing the solvent under reduced pressure and a third process of baking in an inert-gas atmosphere or under reduced pressure.
