PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable authentication excellent in practical use with low costs by using a portable terminal display as a light signal source for authentication. SOLUTION: In a terminal 100, an ID held in a storage means 101 is converted into a hue difference light signal by a hue difference light signal generation means 102, and this signal is output to a screen from a color display 103. In an authentication device 200, the hue difference light signal is detected from input information of an image sensor 201 which has picked up an image of a screen of a color display 103 by a hue difference light signal detection means 202 and the ID is received, and processing to the received ID is carried out by an authentication processing means 203 according to the authentication result.
