PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellow color toner for electrostatic latent image development having a sharp particle size distribution and stable triboelectric charging property, providing a clear full color image free from fog and toner spatter, and causing no safety and health problems, and to provide a method for manufacturing the toner. SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic latent image development comprises toner particles containing a binder resin, a yellow pigment and a pigment dispersant, obtained by a suspension polymerization method, wherein a pigment dispersant whose acid value A and amine value B satisfy 0.2<B/(A+B)<0.9 is used as the pigment dispersant and a non-diallylide pigment is used as the yellow pigment.
