PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive toroidal-type continuously variable transmission capable of miniaturizing a variator without increasing control oil pressure and providing stable synchronization. SOLUTION: This toroidal-type continuously variable transmission is provided with a plurality of power rollers 11 nipped and held between an input side disc and an output side disc, a plurality of trunnions 6 swinging centered on a pair of pivots 5 being at twist positions for central axes of the input side disc and the output side disc and provided concentrically for each other and supporting each power roller 11 rotatably, and a driving piston 43 for displacing each trunnion 6 in the axial direction of the pivot 5.
