PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge mechanism capable of reducing the number of components and reducing manufacturing costs by reducing machining man-hours of the components. SOLUTION: The hinge mechanism comprises an opening and shutting bracket 1 fixed on a box, a main base 2 being an opening and shutting shaft rotatably supported by the opening and shutting bracket 1, and a main shaft 5 being a rotary shaft rotatably supported so as to cross at right angles with the main base 2. The main shaft 5 provides a notch section 71 at its center, and is detachably engaged with the opening and shutting bracket 1 along a rotation direction around the opening and shutting shaft. The opening and shutting bracket 1 integrally provides an engaging section 26 which restricts rotation of the main shaft 5 by bringing into contact with the notch section 71 when the main shaft 5 is engaged.
