PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the evaporation of a fuel adhered to the rear surface of the bevel part of an intake valve. SOLUTION: In this intake valve 103 of an engine, recesses and projections are formed on the rear surface 1031 of the bevel part at a portion R on the ignition plug side of the center axis X of the valve. The recesses and projections can be formed of dimples D, cutouts, fins, or steps. The direction of the injection of a fuel is set toward the portion R where the recesses and projections are formed.
