PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus that can readily fixing an extended nucleic acid molecule, for example, DNA. SOLUTION: A liquid-flowing base plate 6 having a concave part 8 for forming the liquid-flowing path is fixed to the surface of the base plate 2 to which an amino group is immobilized. The apparatus comprises the base plate 2 and the liquid-flowing path base plate 6 and a solution including DNA is dropped on one side of the concave part 8 for the flowing path so that a liquid flow is allowed to start in the direction of the arrow 12 and the solution is allowed to flow down along the liquid-flowing path. The one end of the DNA is immobilized to the amino group and the DNA molecule is extended along the liquid flow and fixed to the base plate 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
