<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information collating device provided with a quality evaluator which adequately evaluates the quality of inputted biological information while restraining a load accompanying an evaluation. <P>SOLUTION: A correction processor 16 corrects biological information data, such as fingerprints, inputted from a biological information inputting part 12 in accordance with the state of the biological information data, and a characteristic extractor 17 extracts characteristic data from the biological information data from the correction processor 16. A quality evaluator 18 evaluates the quality of the inputted biological information in consideration of whether correction processing is executed, based on the presence or absence of a correction by the correction processor 16 and the quality evaluation data obtained from the characteristic data extractor 17. By this, the state of the biological information can accurately be evaluated, and an updating/registering processor 20 can adequately set registration of specific processing for biological information of poor quality.
