PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type display device of a shadow figure in which a figure made by an image creating body is clearly projected on a screen in a state with surroundings being brightly illuminated, by illuminating light of a light emitting diode having a very strong light emitting orientation to a surrounding type light transmissive image creating body and making the light refracted and diffracted. SOLUTION: The translucent image creating body 3a is provided in a surrounding shape at an outside edge of the light emitting diode 2 and at least a translucent screen 4 is arranged in front of the image creating body. By illuminating the light of the light emitting diode 2 to the image creating body and making the light refracted, diffracted and reflected on the screen 4, the shadow figure is created on the screen 4.
