PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce IT resources added when expanding the service area of a content delivery system. SOLUTION: Each client 8 has a storage 85, a registration means for registering part or all of the storage 85 as a resource pool in a local server 6, and a request means for sending a delivery request for content to the local server 6. The local server 6 has a storage means for storing a resource pool management table and a content management table, a request reception means for receiving the content delivery request from each client 8, a specification means for specifying the resource pool that stores the content, and a delivery command means for sending a content delivery command to the client 8 that has the specified resource pool.
