PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor television camera apparatus to/from which a protecting cover can be attached/detached in accordance with the purpose of use while being installed. SOLUTION: A dome cover 11 for covering a camera 7 can be removably mounted on a pedestal 2 of a monitor television camera apparatus 1 installed on an install surface B, thereby improving convenience by attaching/detaching the dome cover 11 in accordance with the purpose of use. Furthermore, when the dome cover 11 is detached, it is covered between the pedestal 2 and a base 3 with a cover removable from the pedestal 2, thereby preventing floating dust or the like from being infiltrated, and improving a look for appearance design by making the pedestal 2 and the base 3 continuous without generating a step. A turning angle of a tilt shaft 6 is automatically switched based on attachment/detachment of the dome cover 11 and when the dome cover 11 is detached and a cover 21 is attached, the turning angle is switched to be large to widen an imaging range.
