PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat comprising a free-size hat for which a size adjusting operation is not required, capable of enough protecting the head, without causing an uncomfortable feeling as if the head is tightened, nor causing a headache even when worn for a long time, and capable of giving a sense of softly fitting, by being prevented from slipping out of a top part of the head, and further capable of enough absorbing sweat. SOLUTION: In this hat, a sweatband is positioned on a front part of an inner bottom area of a crown, a cut-off part is cut off from a bottom part of a back area and/or side areas of the crown, and an elastic member of which the shape is identical to that of the cut-off part is joined to the cut-off part.
