PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite nonwoven fabric which is high in pleat folding properties, makes the deformation of pleats by wind pressure difficult when used as an air filter, and can prevent the block of the filter by deformation. SOLUTION: Composite strands (6) comprising at least two thermoplastic resins different in melting point in which the resin having the lowest melting point occupies at least 40% of fiber surfaces are arranged approximately in parallel to the width direction of a base cloth such as a heat-bonded nonwoven fabric and bonded to the base cloth while being extended in the length direction of the base cloth, and a melt-blown nonwoven fabric of thick composite fibers (4) comprising at least two thermoplastic resins different in melting point in which the resin having the lowest melting point occupies at least 40% of fiber surfaces is accumulated on the composite strands (6) and bonded/integrated to/with the base cloth to obtain the composite nonwoven fabric high in pleat folding properties.
