The fuel injection valve for an internal combustion motor, especially a common rail injector, has an external electrical connection (41) with a contact pin (35) for the power supply to an electrical unit e.g. a magnet. The electrical connection is a complete unit (30), encapsulated within a plastics shrouding (32), which can be mounted to the fuel injector. The electrical unit is linked to the supply through a contact bridge (1) so that it can be removed and replaced repeatedly without damage.
