<p>A pressure sorting assembly removes foreign bodies from a fibrous paper suspension (S) having a sieve basket within a housing (12). The housing encloses a rotor (8) with scraper blades (11) in contact with the sieve. The rotor is suspended by magnetism within a stator (9) and is turned by magnetic forces acting on permanent magnets (7). The rotor is magnetic and suspended without contact by magnetic force. The sieve basket (1) is located radially outside the rotor (8, 8'). The flow of fibres (3) is located outside the basket (1). The rotor has magnetic bearings that operate in conjunction with those of the stator. The stator (9) has a cylindrical housing whose outer surface is in contact with the fibre suspension.</p> |
