<p>The device has a positioning device for positioning an optical indicator (11) opposite to a surface to be evaluated (18). A stamp equipment is provided with a stamp (14) and a stamp pad (19). A positioning device is provided for positioning the stamp opposite to the surface to be evaluated and for lowering the stamp. An evaluator is provided for comparing two measured values of the indictor to two points. An independent claim is also included for a surface properties evaluating method.</p>
