PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful DNA for searching or producing a useful enzyme by carrying out genomic analysis on an alkalophilic bacillus bacteria used in the production of industrially useful enzymes.

SOLUTION: This invention provides a useful protein containing a specific amino acid sequence or an amino acid sequence derived from the amino acid sequence by deletion, substitution or addition of one or more amino acids, a gene encoding the useful protein, a recombinant vector containing the gene, a transformant containing the recombinant vector, and a method for producing the useful protein by culturing the transformant and separating the useful protein from the culture product.
