<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TV telephone system for performing image distribution while performing audio communication. <P>SOLUTION: An image communication apparatus 100 is provided with ports AP1-AP3; ports DP1, DP2; analog telephone adaptor unit 40 for performing analog telephone control between a telephone set 10 and a public network 13; IP telephone adaptor unit 50 for performing IP telephone control between the telephone set 10 and an IP network 14; IP telephone & video control/setting unit 60 for performing control and setting IP video communication with the IP telephone set, IP video adaptor unit 70 for performing IP video communication control between a display 11/a camera 12 and the IP network 14; and a broadband router 21 for controlling communication between the adaptor unit 50/the adaptor unit 60 and the IP network 14. The apparatus is provided with an inter-terminal connection procedure for allowing the adaptor 50, the control/setting means 60 and the adaptor unit 70 to connect between terminals from the DP1, DP2 to the IP network 14; a transmission procedure for allowing the terminals to transmit data; and image compression coding/decoding means 74, 75. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
