<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode active material having high capacity density and capable of providing high current, and to provide a battery having high energy density and capable of providing a high output. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode active material containing a compound (a) having structure represented by formula (1) or formula (1') in a molecule is used.
