<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of improving print quality by reducing paper surface fogging, or staining of a print on a recording medium surface. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a photoreceptor drum which carries a toner image and a position adjusting mechanism 26 which adjusts the distance to a transfer part arranged opposite the photoreceptor drum according to the thickness of a recording form. This position adjusting mechanism 26 adjusts the distance between the photoreceptor drum and the transfer part to increase as the recording form is thicker. Consequently, the image forming apparatus can reduce a phenomenon wherein the recording form presses in a development part including the photoreceptor drum excessively, and also reduce a state wherein the toner image formed on the photoreceptor drum is transferred to the recording form with a van der Waals force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
