<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new glutamic acid receptor and its utilization, in detail, to provide the new glutamic acid receptor, to provide a DNA encoding the same, to provide a method for identifying an agonist, an antagonist, an allosteric modulator and an antibody binding to the receptor with a cell expressing the same, to provide a method for producing a glutamic acid receptor modulator, and to provide a medicinal composition comprising the modulator. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a medicine for modulating a second message produced by binding a glutamic acid receptor with glutamic acid comprises a process for reacting a glutamic acid receptor protein with a substance binding to the protein in the presence of a substance to be tested to search the agonist, antagonist, or allosteric modulator of the glutamic acid, and a process for preparing a medicinal composition as an active ingredient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
