PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cement composition for spraying capable of preventing falling or sagging of mortar immediately after spraying, increasing sprayed thickness of spraying mortar and greatly reducing rebound and dust amount, and good in developability of strength and in pressure feeding capability, and a spray method of construction. SOLUTION: This cement composition for spraying comprises cement, aggregate, a thickening agent, a polymer for cement and light-weight aggregate powder with≤1.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>bulk density and≤100μm average particle size. The cement composition for spraying preferably further comprises an ultrafine powder substance and an expansive admixture. Also it is preferable to employ such a spray method of construction that the cement composition for spraying is mixed with compressed air at a position of≤30 m from the tip end of the spray nozzle and spraying the cement composition for spraying from the spray nozzle.
