<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of alienating a relation between an input line adaptor and an output line adaptor in a packet transfer apparatus by reconfiguring a priority control function having been distributed to the input line adaptor, a switch unit, and the output line adaptor. <P>SOLUTION: The packet transfer apparatus is characterized in such that each of the input line adaptors is provided with: a routing information storage means 24 and an output line adaptor determining means 22, each of the output line adaptors 3 is provided with a priority control execution section 33, all the input line adaptors 2 and all the output line adaptors 3 are interconnected by lines with a capacity equal to or more than the capacity of input lines 4, the input line adaptor 2 transfers a packet to a prescribed output line adaptor 3 in response to header information, and the output line adaptor 3 applies priority control to the packet in response to the priority class of the packet and transfers the packet to an output line 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
