PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor by which a high quality image can be formed by suppressing the occurrence of bubbles in a photosensitive layer, so that the photosensitive layer is made free from film defects such as a blister and a crack, and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor manufactured by the method, an electrophotographic apparatus and an electrophotographic process. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor having, on a conductive support, an intermediate layer containing a dispersed inorganic pigment and a photosensitive layer, in this order, formed by coating with a coating liquid for a photosensitive layer containing a solvent selected from cyclic ether compounds, ketone compounds and aromatic hydrocarbon compounds, a drying step of drying a photosensitive layer comprises two or more steps, and in the first drying step of drying a photosensitive layer immediately after formation by coating, a maximum temperature rising speed of the conductive support is≤5°C/s and an average temperature rising speed is≤0.05°C/s.
