PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve seat structure of a cylinder head, improving reliability of the cylinder head by eliminating distortion of the cylinder head at the time of mounting of a seat ring, and capable of securely preventing gas leakage from a combustion chamber due to partial wear of the seat ring and leakage of intake/exhaust gas from an intake/exhaust pipe. SOLUTION: A seat ring side annular groove 12 having a rectangular-shaped cross section is formed in a portion straddling from an approximately center part in the axial line m direction of an outer peripheral face 11 of the seat ring 1 to the upper side part, and a cylinder head side annular groove 22 having a triangular-shaped cross section is formed in a portion straddling from an approximately center part in the height direction of an inner peripheral face 211 of a mounting hole 21 of the cylinder head 2 opposing to the seat ring side annular groove 12 from the upper side part. A belleville spring 3 applying energizing force by straddling both of the annular grooves 12, 22 is fitted into both of the annular grooves 12, 22 to allow rotation in the circumferential direction of the seat ring 1 with respect to the cylinder head 2 when an internal combustion engine reaches a predetermined operating condition.
