PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate construction of a waterproof sheet, to dispense with suspension of use of building during construction work or cancellation of the construction work during rainfall, and to eliminate danger of water leakage even if there is something wrong with the construction of the waterproof sheet, in carrying out waterproof modification of an existing metal roof. SOLUTION: The waterproof modification structure of the existing metal roof is provided with a fixing tool 6 mounted to the protruding part 3d of the existing metal roof 3, a substrate material mounting tool 7 mounted to the fixing tool 6, a substrate material 11 mounted on the substrate material mounting tool 7, a mounting means 12 for mounting the substrate material 11 to the substrate material mounting tool 7, and a waterproof sheet 13 laid on the substrate material 11.
