The described measuring and evaluating method permits the operating data determined in short intervals and the constant quantities of a transformer to be used in accordance with the Montsinger rule for continuous determination and recording of the use of life. The evaluation of the measured data is performed by stepwise integration in an electronic computing device. The capitalisation costs for the losses can be determined by storing the constants further required.
