The support frame, made of a U-shaped tubular frame construction (1), contains both in the front longitudinal support (1.1) and in the extension arms (1.2) recesses (4) which are open towards the inside and into which bracket-like resting elements (2) for supporting a shelf board (3) can be inserted into the interior of the tubular frame construction (1) and slid out of the latter. The resting elements (1) are guided in the recesses (4) with a spring-elastic engagement and mainly contain a padded rest (8), which is bent on a front panel (6), side walls (11, 12) which are moulded laterally onto the front panel (6) resiliently, and a support tongue (7) which supports the resting element (2) on the outside (5) of the tubular profile in the extended state. In the inserted state of the resting element (2), its front panel (6) is flush with the outside (5) of the tubular profile. <IMAGE>
