<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a clock time to be displayed precisely at a low manufacturing cost, without using expensive real-time clock ICs. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver is provided comprising a main control section 13 that uses a receiving means 10 to receive digital broadcasting being broadcasted, such that a standard time information signal is multiplexed with a program; and a standard time information holding means 23 that holds the standard time information received by the main control section 13.
