<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector style vehicle headlight capable of maintaining better visibility without lowering due to road surface reflection of radiating light in running in the rain. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle headlight comprises a shade 15 that is arranged between a projection lens 8 and a light source bulb 10, and forms the cutoff line in a light distribution pattern by shielding a part of reflection light from a reflector 13 and also a part of direct light from a light source bulb 10; and a light shielding means 37 that shields light radiating toward a central and downward region in a light distribution pattern. The light shielding means 37 is mounted slidably so as to take at least two positions for shielding position of light reflected on a center-upper region of a reflector 13 and incident on the projection lens 8 and for a non-shading position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
