<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective multi gap system liquid crystal display apparatus of an active matrix type wherein alignment disorder of a liquid crystal due to an electric field caused by a switching element or the like can be effectively suppressed and high quality display free from coloring can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: In the transflective multi gap system liquid crystal display apparatus of a vertical alignment mode having a transmission display area T and a reflection display area R provided in one dot region, an element forming layer including a wiring part 33 and switching element, an insulating film 71 covering the element forming layer and a pixel electrode 31 are provided on the liquid crystal layer side of an element substrate 25, the pixel electrode 31 and the element forming layer are electrically connected to each other via a contact hole 72 penetrated through the insulating film 71 and the contact hole 72 is provided in an area outside a reflection layer 77 within the dot area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
