<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply retrieve target moving picture data. <P>SOLUTION: Video data corresponding to a picture selected by a cursor 132 are cut at 5-second intervals on a file list image when a user stepwise depresses a right direction indication button in the counterclockwise direction from a left center at a given position on the annulus ring moving locus 211 of a list image 201 showing contents of an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) 26. Still pictures stuck to a controlling memory are arranged as pictures 221, 222, and 223. Namely, the picture 221 is the 0-second elapsed picture (the leading picture) in video data; the picture 222 is the 5-second elapsed picture in the video data; and the picture 223 is the 10-second elapsed picture.
