PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a detergent composition excellent in cleaning power and finished feeling such as flexibility, wrinkle-prevention, etc. SOLUTION: This detergent composition is produced by mixing (a) an amphiphilic lipid having hydroxy group and amide group in its molecule and (b) a surfactant or a premix containing the surfactant, at a temperature lower than the melting point of the (a).
